Grainy Yarn-Dyed Stripe, Vintage Kimono Wool Blend from Japan By the Yard #607

Luscious earthy tans and browns, oatmeal, flax and wheat. Lots of texture and raised dobby designs in dark brown and flax, woven into a stripe about every inch. Within each stripe, there are rustic color changes which makes this fabric so gorgeous. It's thin and a bit sheer held up to the light, with crisp body. The surface is grainy and dry. It's both coarse and soft;  the black and tan warp may be silk, and the weft may be all wool or wool and hemp. We are guessing; tags are gone. We think zero synthetic.
