Sleek and smooth, with a base jacquard of gently curved swooshes like grass in the breeze. The bingata work is dark green that blends to black. There are bamboo, maple and other leaves, lots of flowers, hills, streams and winds, chrysanthemums. The base is deepest richest darkest garnet red. The bingata work and the color combination is unusual and this silk is probably rare and certainly all done by hand by a bingata expert, with vegetable dyes. Pure vintage silk in excellent condition from its former life as a kimono. Japan.
