Flowers in Terra Cotta River, Rich Jacquard Kimono Silk Pieces 14" x 46" #3752
The complex jacquard is multi-dimensional, and makes the coral/clay color come alive. There are many types of weave within the weave, each creating different light-play. Though it may appear to be several different colors, it's actually yarn dyed of one color of silk and the illusion is created by texture. So there is satin and matte in different levels. It may be a matelasse/fukureori. Absolutely wonderful. Rich drape, medium-light weight silk in perfect condition from its former life as a kimono. The back is the same color but smoother, with less jacquard dimension.
