Rich mauve, deep and luscious, on a strong jacquard weave silk with clumped-together fans. The fans are about 2" long so even in these small pieces there are a lot of fans. Raised jacquard creates shades of mauve, a satin sheen in some areas, and lots of texture. Supple, flowy, drapey silk. The back is the same rich color but smoother; the jacquard mainly shows up on the front. This silk was once part of a kimono and is in perfect condition. Japan.
