Kimono silk from Japan, handwoven in black, ivory and turquoise, using thicker and thinner fibers; this is a stunning silk ikat. It's on the heavy-chunky side for kimono silk, a little crisp, with body. No shine at all, lots of texture, more than the photos show, and handwoven beauty. This bolt probably took months to make from start to finish. A true ikat, both sides are just the same. It is gray not navy. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the excellent condition, never used bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.
