SALE Burnt Paprika Ombre Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard #279
Dark coppery russets and reds in a base silk with a woven grid pattern in slightly lighter tones. The burnet paprika ombre was likely hand painted with Bokashi technique; every few inches there are large, subtle, darker areas, soft-cornered squares, ovals, blended in. This silk is as smooth and sleek as an Oshima silk; the fibers are so fine, soft and so beautifully woven it's like touching soft skin. It has an incredible yet understated lustre, and possibly black in the weave - the silk weave is so fine it's a bit hard to tell exactly how it was done; another mystery beauty from Japan. Lightweight, thin, with a little body, a little sheen and a slight crispness. Both sides are just the same. It's in perfect condition, 14.5" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the excellent condition, kimono bolt. 100% Silk. Japan. Exceptional.
