Fireflies Brown Shibori Crepe Kimono Silk from Japan, By the Yard #440

Chocolate brown with spots of blush and white shibori, and 'flightpaths' of tiny white shibori squares, in this quite old silk crepe from Japan. The crepe is a very soft, pebbly-textured, liquid drape, supple chirimen, with a dry hand and no shine. We see no fading, blemishes or damage at all, yet it seems like it's probably quite old; older than vintage. It's more lightweight, flowy and supple than most vintage chirimen. Both sides are nearly identical.  13.5" wide.  Sold by the full yard. We'll cut yours in one piece from the "new old stock" vintage bolt. 100% Silk.  Japan.
