Navy/Black Iridescent 100% Silk Dupioni 54" Wide. By the Yard #190
Nubby-textured, soft, handwoven, slightly crispy classic silk dupioni in rich navy. This dupioni is created by weaving true black warp with a weft of shinier, thicker, soft and slubby navy. The combination creates flashes of dark midnight indigo and makes the navy incredibly rich. The camera can't capture its depth, midnight indigo flashes, iridescence and beauty; brighter in some lights, more subdued in others. (We're happy to send you a swatch if you like).
Dupioni silk is a joy to sew, touch and wear. It's used for gowns, jackets and coats, skirts, blouses and shirts, wraps, tables, pillows, accessories, and much more. It has body and a slight rustling sound as it moves, is easily shaped as you work with it, and wrinkles iron out easily. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve lustre, texture and color. For our former Santa Fe Fabrics customers, YES this is the same beloved, high end silk dupioni from India that we carried.
