Ten Thousand Fans Crepe Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard #428

The background color is almost-black purplish indigo, and the small fans are ecru/off-white, with a lovely light-play from the tiny jacquard gleaming speckles. Then every now and again, some of the fans are green. This silk is lightweight, flowy and supple, very drapey, with a fine crepe texture and a dry hand. No shine except for the glimmers from the jacquard that flash in the light. For a crepe it's quite smooth. There is some slight selvedge yellowing and otherwise this silk is in excellent condition. There is no yellowing other than that; if the photos look that way it's the camera catching the jacquard speckles, which is one of the nicest aspects of this silk. 14" wide.
