This kimono silk is mainly black - all of the outlines and much of the other design work is in a detailed ikat with black silk. There is also steel blue gray and gray in the weave. The entire design is woven; this is not a print, and it's quite well done and precise. This pure silk is thin, light, with some texture you can feel, from the weave - it's not as soft or smooth as most Japanese silk; it has a bit more rustic of a feel. There is no shine and it has a bit of body. It's a true ikat, so both sides look the same. 14" wide, 100% kimono silk sold by the full yard.
