Browns/Maroons/Olives, Vintage Kimono Silk Crepe Ombre from Japan, By the Yard #182
The color changes through the bolt, blending maroon, olive and dark chocolate brown, smoothly and perfectly (by hand, using Bokashi technique) creating all the colors in between along the way. Sometimes the maroon or the brown will continue for over a yard, but it varies. The olive areas are usually only around 12" long. Colors were undoubtedly based on exact placement of colors the designer wanted for the finished kimono. The brown and the maroon areas are dominant. Lightweight, flowy and soft, supple, liquid drape silk crepe. Sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one piece from the vintage, excellent condition, unused bolt. If you order just a yard you may get 1, 2 or all 3 colors. 14.5" Wide, 100% Silk. Japan. This is a silk Bokashi; colors blended by hand by an artisan in Japan. Fabulous.
