SALE Crispy Blue Tiny Butterflies Print, Cotton or Hemp, Vintage from Japan By the Yard #340
Flocks of lighter blue-white small butterflies flutter throughout the bolt, in zig-zags. Indigo color cotton, ramie, hemp, or ? kimono fabric is a little sheer, crispy, and stiff. It has a slightly textured weave, a soft touch and a few slubs, with a unique kind of softness that is luscious and unusual. Like bamboo, but we've never thought that Japan made fabric from bamboo. No shine, very light weight, with body. It's a print and the butterflies only show on the front; the back is pure indigo blue. We washed and air-dried a piece and it kept some crispness, softened a bit, barely shrunk and didn't wrinkle. 14" wide, this kimono fabric is in perfect condition and seems high-end. Sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used vintage bolt. Japan. Let us know if you'd like a free swatch of this beauty!
