SALE Thick Bokashi Vintage Japanese Heavy OBI Silk 5 yards BOLT #256

Greens, blue-greens, raisin, golden olives.  Hand brushed bokashi creates the variance and blending of all the colors. This silk bolt was designed for an obi but has never been used and is in excellent condition. It's thick, strong, fairly stiff but still soft on the surface, and heavy. The weave has a subtle ribbed texture. About half of the 5-yard length has a crease down the middle for creating the fold when the obi would be sewn, per the last photo. We see no fading, damage, or stains. There is short, cream silk fringe on both ends, and both sides are the same. This rolled-up bolt measures 11.5" x 3" and weighs 21.5 ounces. Extraordinary 100% silk from Japan, quite old, possibly antique and certainly vintage. Sold by the bolt, so order "1".
