Sari Kantha - Whites and Brights, Hand Stitched Patchwork Quilt/Throw 59" x 84" #KN-2

In prints with bright colors and whites, this Kantha is made from perfect condition lightweight saris on the front, white borders and beige cotton on the back. Most of the sari pieces are around 6" x 6"; some are larger. They are quilted with hand stitched traditional  Kantha stitches. It measures around 59" x 84" and weighs about 27 ounces. The saris are a mix of various fabric - faux silk, silk, rayon and cotton. Some have some sheen and quite a few are bright white. Use as a throw, bedspread, quilt, wall hanging, or make it into a shawl, poncho, wrap or jacket. It's glorious, soft, cuddly, puckered and textured, rustic but full of charm. The fabrics are in pristine condition; this kantha is brand new, not vintage. Made by hand in India.
