The sari ribbons' stepping stone pattern speaks to the textile artisans who made this fabric, young women in Bangladesh building their resilience and self worth, step by step, through making these fabrics and paid a fair wage. Soulful, artisan 100% cotton with cotton recycled sari ribbon. 30" wide when stretched and about 27" wide relaxed. This is the last of this fabric, it's 1-1/2 yards long. So, order "1" for the piece.
A quote from one of the makers of this fabric from Bangladesh: “When we sew we don’t think about our old lives, we’re happy!”
A much brighter future awaits as they earn well, save and build strong stepping stones to their dreams.
