Royal Blue Bokashi Crepe Silk Long Furisode Vintage Kimono, Women's Large #JH33
Royal Blue supple, soft jacquard on silk crepe, with hand-brushed Bokashi-blended lighter sky blue, and small flowers that seem to glow from within. Very long elegant sleeves, which furisode kimono are known for. This furisode has lovely drape and a soft hand, and two temari balls at the bottom left hem, which are thought to bring good luck, and when given to a bride, for a happy family. Temari balls are a 1600 year old tradition in Japan - hand made silk and cotton thread balls with beautiful designs. This kimono still has the hand-basting stitches, indicating it was recently cleaned. Remove them before wearing, or leave them in for storage or shipping to keep this treasure in good condition. See the photo with red chopsticks showing some fading on back fold lines. Thankfully, it's not very noticeable when worn - they tend to hide in the folds along the seams of this flowy kimono. This long, stunning formal kimono looks, feels and smells perfect and is ready to wear - no stains, tears or other issues. Japan.
