Pale, softened colors and images of flowers and symbols for long life, happiness, prosperity, peace, kindness. All the colors are muted, with a watercolor feel. Chirimen crepe silk is exceptionally soft, with a subtle crepe texture; not as textured as many chirimen crepes; the weave is very fine. Liquid drape, flowy, no shine. On the back, the print shows up just a bit; it's basically blue and white. Pure silk in perfect condition from its former life as a kimono. Japan.
