Faux patchwork with thousands of round shapes possibly depicting traditional floral porcelain plates or seigaha waves, both beloved in Japan, with iris and other flower designs and blue rims. Fine white lines divide the 'patches'. Bright red-orange, purples, other blues, greens and white, with brighter-than-navy blue, a bright periwinkle cobalt color. It's a small scale print very well done and detailed - and so charming! 97% Wool/3% Nylon is lightweight, thin and dense, very smooth, fairly smooth but not slick or shiny. It's soft for wool, tightly woven, seems durable and strong.
