Airy White Hemp/Cotton? / Tiny Black Sketches Vintage Kimono Fabric By the Yard #245
True white and tiny-black-line-created beings lined up in rows and columns, in a fine print, not in the weave. We're guessing this summer kimono fabric is either all hemp or hemp/cotton, possibly with a small amount of silk, judging from the look and feel. Hemp has a distinctive softness that's hard to describe but this fabric has it. The weave is a bit more open than most cotton yukata; it's sheer and crispy, very light and airy, with body. To us it's softer than most cotton or linen but definitely seems natural. 14.5" wide, excellent condition and sold by the full yard - we'll cut yours in one piece from the never used, vintage bolt.
