SALE Sherbet Hemp Leaves Thin Sheer Juban WOOL Print from Japan 29" WIDE By the Yard #686
In Japan, lightweight juban wool is for undergarments to be worn beneath your kimono, is usually twice as wide as kimono fabric, and is called "muslin". This soft wool is sheer and airy, thin and light. Pink and orange sherbet colors in diagonal soft-edge stripes, with hemp leaves nesting to look like stars, in bright white thin outlining. It's 29" wide, not 14" like most kimono fabrics; double width in Japan terms. The last 3 photos are with the wool placed on top of black dupioni, which shows the sheerness.
It's in excellent condition and seems fairly new, probably not vintage. Sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one piece from the never used bolt. 100% Wool. Japan.
