SALE Sashiko Petals, Olive and Navy Vintage Kimono Wool/Silk Blend from Japan, By the Yard #137

Dark greens and olive, blues, browns, a bit of reddish burgundy and golden olive, in many different weaves that mimic sashiko; each Chrysanthemum petal's weave is different than the one next to it. Quite thin and light, and a bit sheer when held up to the light, this fabric is 67% Wool, 16% Silk, 6% Nylon and 11% Poly. It has a bit of body and no drape. It's slightly crisp and feels to us more like thin, pure wool. The surface isn't smooth or sleek. There are a few white slubs. The back isn't quite so intense in color.  14.5" wide and sold by the full yard. We'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt. Faux Sashiko. Japan.
