Red Stripe Crackle Lines Vintage Kimono Wool from Japan By the Yard #751
Bright red pairs with beige-gold in this lengthwise stripe that is reminiscent of ticking, plus a design of crackled lines making large, connecting, abstractly arranged, imperfect, almost primitive, squares and diamonds. Thin and light, similar in weight to quilting cotton, soft for wool, with subtle, fine slubs in brown, hard to see in the photos but they add a textured, handwoven look. Both sides are nearly identical. For wool it's supple, a bit drapey, but also with a bit of body, and no shine. 14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used vintage bolt. It's in excellent condition. We are not sure if it's yarn-dyed true ikat or a print, or a combination. 100% Wool. Japan. Let us know if you'd like a swatch.
