Pink/Black Crossdye Silk with Slashes and Shine, Kimono Silk by the Yard
Glistening and sleek in dusty rose pink and black, with pink slashes and thousands of soft, silky black slubs. Gorgeous, fancy and textured Tsumugi. It's much like silk dupioni or taffeta, with skinny pink slashes randomly spaced. They range from around 2" to 4" long, and appear every 4" to 12" apart, sometimes in groups of two. Woven from raw silk of varying thicknesses, so the surface is textured, yet sleek and smooth. The slubs are mostly black and they are plentiful. It has a bit of body and crispness; not much drape. It's the same on both sides. The photos don't capture the glow and elegance of this silk - it is stunning, soft purple/black from a distance, and iridescent. This is vintage kimono silk in beautiful, pristine condition.
14" wide. Sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one piece from the bolt. If you're first, the beautiful border and long, silky rose fringe are yours.
