Lilac/White Tiny Ikat Crosses Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #749

Geometric woven, a precise, detailed, small scale ikat with very tiny white crosses, in subdued purple/lilac and white. This silk is sleek and soft, not slubby at all, handwoven, smooth. It's mid-weight, thin, on the heavy side for kimono silk, with body and no drape.  It's almost crisp. A true ikat, both sides are just the same. What a color! 14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used vintage bolt.  It's in excellent condition.  Being handwoven, there are a few wabi-sabi minor weaving imperfections such as the one in the last photo. 100% Silk.
