Indigo Triangles Jacquard Kimono Silk Pieces 11" x 33". #4348
The jacquard is wonderful in this silk, and there are actually two indigo shades, one so dark it's almost black, only on certain triangles. The others are deep indigo but a bit lighter, with hidden symbols and shapes. Now and then there are stabs of very skinny light blue, handpainted lines. This silk is so light and airy it's almost sheer and was probably a summer kimono. It's supple, soft, flowy and drapey, with no shine. There are notches on some of the edges so selvedges are probably unusable. Otherwise this vintage silk is in excellent condition from its former life as a kimono. Japan.
