Grayish Purple Maple Leaves Jacquard Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard #916

Dusty muted grayish purple, with scattered groups of jacquard and sometimes over-dyed maples leaves. The base silk is a very supple crepe with an additional jacquard of short thin lines in rows clustered together, moving through the length and adding to the drape. There are quite a few other jacquard patterns in this complex yet simple Japanese silk. Some of the small maple leaves have a subtle coppery red tone over the jacquard. Lightweight, very flowy, soft, liquid drape, supple silk with only a hint of shine from the jacquard. The back looks very similar but with no reddish color and a less pronounced jacqurd; it's all muted purple crepe. 14" wide and sold by the full yard. Yours will be in one piece, cut from the never-used, perfect condition, vintage bolt.  100 % silk. Japan.
