Cotton Print Pieces from Japan, Tenegui Towels, Eight for $90
Samples of Tenegui towels, lightweight cotton similar to yukata but some with interesting weaves, some a little lighter or heavier than traditional yukata. Tengui towels are used for many things in Japan: Wrapping for gifts, head wraps, aprons, washcloths, cleaning and drying people and things, souvenirs and more. Sometimes unhemmed, sometimes pre-washed, usually light in weight, around 14" x 34", usually printed in interesting prints that change constantly. None are thick terry cloth; they're all fairly thin, lightweight 100% cotton similar to quilting cotton weight. These are from various Tenegui manufacturers in Japan, all new, not vintage, all different, some still wrapped. You'll get all 8 for $90.00
We're trying to find tengui cotton by the bolt, to have for sale here, but so far no luck. In the meantime, these are the samples we've gotten.
