Cayenne Handwoven Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard #525

This silk has softly blurred intentional darker and lighter abstractstripes through the length.  The base weave has fine, light orange threads in both warp and weft that create a random grid pattern and a selvedge with their unwoven portions still attached. Lightweight and thin, this vintage silk has a soft, sometimes invisible shine. The color isn't neon orange; it's a bit subdued and absolutely gorgeous. This silk is soft, not drapey. There is a light texture from the varying thicknesses of silk in the weave, but barely any slubs. So it's more smooth than textured, with a little body. Both sides are just the same. It's in pristine condition and the artisan, mulberry paper label adds to its beauty. 14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used bolt.
