Dark burgundy woven with black creates background. Blue, olive, red and tiny gray-white slashes define the tropical flowers, hills, homes and gardens. It's all done in the weave, and this fabric's look is, like many Japanese fabrics, unique - the back is mostly gray- white, and shinier. The front has no sheen and feels like silk/wool with a little nylon. The back is shinier, like it may have more nylon. This fabric is supple, almost drapey, thin and light. The complexity of the weave is wonderful; in the light you can see some brighter reds, greens and blues, brighter because of less black in the weave, that the camera didn't catch.  We're guessing it was not handwoven. But the label looks designery, so there are mysteries here.  It's an excellent condition, never used bolt, very pretty for a good price because we can't say absolutely what the content is.  14" wide, sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one continuous piece from the bolt.
