Incredibly strong, rich print with endless plants and a few houses hidden in deepest jungles. The colors!  Deepest oranges, reds and wines, with darkest greens and blacks, expertly rendered on a textured 100% silk. Bumpy texture; not pebbly or grainy like many crepes; the bumps are smaller and more dimensional, they appear to be created by this silk's matelasse, and they add even more life to this lush print. It's thought to be a combination of matelasse and crepe. This medium-drape silk is lightweight, with a dry hand and no shine. The back is solid reddish burgundy/brown. This stunning, unusual and possibly rare vintage kimono silk was formerly part of a kimono and is in perfect condition. Japan.
