Carved from corozo, which is very durable and has a slight sheen. This button is smooth, thick, and the natural grain from the nut shows through just a bit on some of them. Dark rich brown, two large holes, rounded edges, a little natural variance. 

Corozo, aka tagua, is a nut from a South American tree and was used for button making before plastic. It's very strong, carves well, takes dye beautifully, and is sustainable.   Regular price $1.35 each
