SALE Glass Scarab, Dark Green/Mauve Beetle 1" ##CB692

Shiny and iridescent, in some lights the transparent purple/mauve and forest green look almost black.  26mm/ slightly over 1" long and with a 'waistline' about 5/8".  The silver foil back has a shank with an opening around 2mm. These aren't the superb quality Czech Glass buttons that we prefer to stock, but they are fun for the price, which is $2 each on sale. 

In ancient Egypt, amulets representing the sacred scarab beetles were traded throughout the Mediterranean world. They saw the Egyptian scarab (Scarabaeus sacer) as a symbol of renewal and rebirth.
