Silver/White Village Scenes Vintage Kimono Silk Chirimen Crepe from Japan 6" x 35" #4693

The silvery gray blends throughout the print in lighter and darker shades and is ever so slightly towards muddy purple. The white is almost bright white; just barely darker. This chirimen crepe silk is very light and thin, supple, flowy, soft and very drapey, with no shine. It has a dry hand and a pebbly, grainy crepe texture. The back is mostly light gray; the print comes through just a bit.  This silk is in perfect condition from its former life as part of a kimono, decades ago.  100% Silk.  Japan.
