Navy Floral Vintage Kimono Silk Crepe from Japan 14" x 60". #4405

Sprigs of flowers in all colors on deep, almost bright indigo navy color silk. The flowers are mostly chrysanthemums, and their colors blend quietly within each petal or leaf, from lighter to darker and more vibrant.  The navy is solid, rich and even. The print is beautifully executed and traditional -  detailed, thoughtful, joyous and perfect. This silk has a mild crepe texture and is drapey, supple, lightweight, flowy and soft. The back is almost white; the print barely comes through. This silk was once part of a kimono and is in excellent condition. Japan.
