This rayon challis is lightweight, soft and drapey, cool to the touch with a matte finish, for loose, flowy warm weather apparel. It's hand-dyed by a fabric artisan in India, so there is no repeat. Perfect for summer blouses, dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts, robes, pj's, shirts, beach wraps, summer pillow cases, shawls, scarves, less-structured jackets and ponchos. Rayon challis is woven not knit, so it doesn't stretch. It's quite easy to sew, breathable, easy to care for and takes colors beautifully. It may be hard to see in the photos, but there are darker blue sprinkles and elements here and there throughout. Beautiful! 100% Rayon. India. 42/44" Wide.

Cool wash and machine dry low, or air dry. Pre-treat before sewing - almost all rayon shrinks quite a bit. If you don't over-dry it, usually rayon challis comes from the dryer unwrinkled, newly fluffed and ready to wear.
