Bright Iris Sari: Vintage Silk Print from India, 43" x 5.5 yards, #SR44

This sari is 5-1/2 yards of light, fine, slightly sheer, slightly crisp silk from India.  The magenta, purple, teal and gold print on the "Main" portion is about 4-1/2 yards, in a print with different designs inside each 'stepping stone' shape. The same colors appear in large faux patchwork triangles in the almost-one-yard "Pallu" portion on one end, with large flowers; it's fancier. This vintage sari is in quite good condition, probably barely worn. This silk is not flowy or drapey; to us it has the light, crisp feel of Peace Silk, or Tussar, from wild silkworms, not farmed.  The print is stunning and fun, vivid and strong on both sides. 100% Silk. India. Weight about 8 ounces. That's light for so much silk, which is also a trait of Peace Silks we've known.  Order "1" for this lovely purple sari.
