Authentic Buffalo Nickel Coin SCREW-BACK Concho, 7/8" USA #SW-31-SC
Genuine 1913-1938 Buffalo Nickel made into a Screw Back concho, in Colorado. Because they're from actual old, circulated coins, each will differ a bit, as coins do. The wearing of the coin, variance, substantial thickness and true coin weight makes this a soulful, beautiful concho. You can definitely tell the difference between these and replicas. Replicas are usually more perfect, lighter and thinner, and consistent.
Domed, 7/8" diameter or slightly less, Chicago Screw included. Made in USA. (We also carry the same button made in reverse; buffalo inside, Indian image showing in front. For that button, click here).
This coin was made from Cupronickel, which per Wikipedia is also known as copper-nickel, and is an alloy of copper that contains nickel and strengthening elements, such as iron and manganese. Despite its high copper content, cupronickel is silver in colour.
